Our ambition is to take these opportunities nationwide. We want young dancers to be able to access meaningful support wherever they live, not just those who are based in London or able to travel to the capital.

By expanding our workshop days across the UK, we hope to reach more communities, connect dancers with experienced industry professionals and create spaces where conversations around mental health, physical wellbeing and the realities of a career in dance are welcomed.

We also want to ensure that our grants and awards are distributed fairly, reaching talented young people from a range of backgrounds and regions, rather than opportunities being concentrated around London.

The AMCK Legacy Foundation is UK-based, but the commercial dance industry is international. For many dancers, working with major recording artists means travelling across borders and spending significant periods of their careers in the United States, from rehearsals and creative development to major performances and touring.

The US is an important part of the global commercial music and entertainment industry, offering significant opportunities for dancers to work alongside artists, choreographers and creative teams at the highest level. But behind the excitement and visibility of these opportunities is a profession that can demand enormous physical commitment, emotional resilience and personal sacrifice.

We believe dancers deserve support that recognises the person behind the performance. Our mission is to help create a stronger foundation for the next generation through grants, opportunities, community and a greater focus on mental and physical wellbeing.
